About Tammy

Tammy is a professional actor, entertainer, voiceover artist, presenter and, most recently, the creator and star of comedy cabaret "I Dated Batman".

"I DATED BATMAN" - winner of Anywhere Festival Award

With over 20 years of experience spanning choirs, amateur theatre groups, private vocal and piano training and three years of Actor training at USQ, Tammy has recently emerged into the professional scene of the entertainment industry. In three short years since the completion of her formal training in 2013, she has won business from several Australian and International voiceover clients, appeared in two short films entered in Tropfest, hosted a TV series for Bris31, performed in several festivals around Brisbane, made her directing debut with Ipswich Musical Theatre Company, a stage management debut with THAT Production Company and debuted her own award-winning show to rave reviews.

"I Dated Batman" was a work inspired by a project undertaken during her final year of training at USQ in 2013. After regalling many of her friends and family with her stories of terrible dating experiences, a lecturer encouraged Tammy to create a cabaret show with the songs and stories that had been generated from this story-telling experience. As such, "I Dated Batman" was birthed and after 3 years of development it made its world premiere at the Anywhere Festival in 2016 where it won an award for people's choice. The show continues to be developed and for more information about upcoming show dates, please head to the official website idatedbatman.com (or click the menu button on the left).

Tammy firmly believes in the positive impact the arts has on a community and faciliates workshops with this directive in mind. She has also presented for many community events and brings a creative flair to liven the atmosphere. When directing "Sunday in the Park with George" for IMTC in 2016, she commissioned a local visual artist who worked in the same medium as the 'George' of the musical to create two pieces inspired by the musical. These were displayed on exhibition at the theatre during performances which was a great success with several pieces of their artwork sold to theatre patrons.

Tammy is always open to opportunities to be involved in projects, please feel free to get in contact to discuss your event.
